The 'more arts.' Legacy Fund

'more arts.' has a special fund set aside to help fund activities which will benefit people in the local area who have a variety of complex needs.

The 'more arts.' Legacy Fund supports the most vulnerable and at risk young people in our community by developing life skills through the creative process.

If you are a local artist, or a teacher of performing arts, or have any active involvement with the 'arts', and you have a programme of arts activities designed to help vulnerable young people, we may be able to help you. You can apply for financial support from the 'more arts.' Legacy Arts Fund.

Use one of these forms to apply for funding:

Apart from preparing an application, the only condition of funding is that you let us know what you achieved, so we ask you to send us a short Results Report when the project is complete.

Information on the form shows how to submit your request for funding. If you have any questions, do please feel free to contact us.

'more arts.' LEGACY FUND SUCCESS STORY

From our Legacy Fund (voluntary donations from our Local Arts Loan Programme) The Cultural Partnership funds projects to help vulnerable young people in the local area.

A project we are currently funding through Earley Town Council enables young people to develop their music and performance skills.

We have helped them purchase musical instruments and we've paid part of the costs of tuition, provided by Rock Academy Foundation. This is what Town Clerk Jo Shaw says about the project:

"The Rock Academy Foundation are working (together with the youth workers employed by Earley Town Council ) with 13 young people supporting their development as musicians and encouraging them to create new original music. This resulted in a band and a solo artist performing sets at the Rock Academy Christmas concert at Readipop on Monday 10th December 2018. 8 of these people have now successfully completed an Arts Award Discover qualification. The young people have developed as musicians, performers and/or composers, they have also developed their team working skills and gained confidence in their creative abilities. The event received positive feedback from community leaders, parents and the students themselves."

From our Legacy Fund (voluntary donations from our Local Arts Loan Programme) The Cultural Partnership funds projects to help vulnerable young people in the local area.

Towards the end of 2015, 'more arts.' made a grant to the Wokingham Centre of Dingley's Promise (a recognised provider of life-changing support to under 5s with additional needs and disabilities, and their families) so that the children could work with a local artist in the creation of artwork. Last week (end May 2016), the Chair of the Arts & Cultural Committee, Councillor Gwynneth Hewetson, visited Dingley to view the exhibition of the various artistic creations that resulted from that project.
