Dance Classes for the Over 50's

How to get there.

A Dance class with the emphasis on having fun while you get fit. It is a beginners class for the over 50's regardless of dancing background and ability.

Each class will piece together simple steps culminating in a complete dance routine all set to a fantastic soundtrack from the 60's, 70's and 80's that is sure to keep you motivated and inspired. Classes are taught by Pandy, an ex-professional dancer who has over 30 years experience in the industry.

Price: £4 per week.

Please bring water and a comfortable pair of pumps or dance shoes. We look forward to meeting you.

Two classes are available. Both classes are designed for you to choose how much or as little you would like to take on board with one of the most important factors built in - FUN - and you will be welcomed to a regular class with open arms.

Intermediate class:

This is a technique-based class. The technique taught is not only for modern jive but is transferrable to most partner dances. We cover various forms of technique from spinning, body weight lead, following, footwork, weight distribution and safety on the dance floor.

Intermediate to Advanced class:

This is to push your dance movement to the next level. This class is based on carefully selected dance movements, all so versatile they are easily adaptable to suit your own individual style.

Prices: Weekly class £7.

Salsa Classes

Salsa classes by Red Hat Salsa, for both beginners and intermediate dancers. The classes are taught by Sharon who is the founder of Red Hat Salsa and has over 14 years experience teaching at both levels. The sessions are dedicated especially to make Salsa fun and easy in an atmosphere which is relaxed and friendly, reflecting the Artsbar.

You do not need to book in advance or come with a partner just come along and dance the night away.
